The Catering Service Center of the Logistics Office provides more than 30,000 faculty, staff and students in Lingshui Campus with daily meals and large-scale event catering. Oriented to the dietary needs of teachers and students, the Catering Service Center adheres to standardized management and production. Each canteen offers hundreds of hot dishes, dozens of cold dishes and staple foods as well as various flavor stalls and buffets every day to teachers and students. In order to enrich the campus life of students and improve its service to ensure quality education, the Catering Service Center offers the course of Logistic Labor to invite students into kitchens to learn food culture and do the cooking, which has attracted more than 2,000 students in total. In addition, the Center has invited leading chefs into the campus and organized special food culture activities such as Carnival Cake for University Anniversary, Food Street and Traditional Festival Food. With their efforts, students not only enjoy colorful campus life and learn about food culture, but also enhance their hands-on abilities and experience the joy of labor. The canteens in Lingshui Campus are introduced as follows.

Central Canteen Hall

Located in the Xishan Living Quarter, the Central Canteen Hallhas four floors with a construction area of about 10,600 square meters. It includes three student canteens, one ethnic canteen and one faculty canteen, with a total of 2,794 seats.

Its first floor mainly provides various snacks with regional flavors such as multi-grain pancakes, mini steamed dumplings, beef soup and braised chicken.

Its second floor mainly provides basic rice and dishes. In addition, there are special sectors such as the Juyuan Canteen, which mainly offers sautéed dishes.

Its third floor is a pay-per-pound buffet providing a wide variety of dishes for teachers and students. Besides, there are rooms reserved for various activities such as gala, meetings and buffet party.

The ethnic canteen on the third floor provides not only basic meals, but also ethnic specialties such as pilaf, beef noodles and lamb chops.

The faculty buffet on the fourth floor serves a wide variety of dishes, including special delicacies such as Dalian braised sweet potato jelly, Yunnan rice noodles and cold noodles.

Qinyuan Canteen

Located in the Xishan Living Quarter, the Qinyuan Canteen has two floors with a construction area of about 1,500 square meters and a total of 468 seats. Its first floor provides special delicacies, while its second floor serves basic rice and dishes. In addition, the Qinyuan Canteen also has sunrooms and rooms reserved for group meals, buffets and other types of activities.

The Fifth Canteen Hall

Located in the Xishan Living Quarter, the Fifth Canteen Hall has three floors with a construction area of 7,300 square meters and a total of 1,148 seats. Its first floor serves various dishes with regional flavors, its second floor basic meals and its third floor pay-per-pound buffet.

The Seventh Canteen Hall

Located in the Zone C of Beishan Living Quarter, the Seventh Canteen Hall has two floors with a construction area of 3,500 square meters and a total of 712 seats. Its first floor serves basic meals and its second floor provides pay-per-pound buffet.

Boliu Canteen Hall

Located in the Boliu Living Quarter, the Boliu Canteen Hall has three floors with a construction area of 6,000 square meters and a total of 691 seats.

Its first floor mainly provides basic meals as well as various kinds of staple food.

The faculty canteen on the second floor mainly provides buffets with various dishes, as well as special delicacies such as cold noodles, rice noodles and Japanese oden.

The Boyuan Restaurant on the third floor has nearly 300 seats and offers Dalian dishes and Cantonese dishes. The overall decoration adopts an elegant new Chinese style, with six rooms, more than 20 tables, high-definition LED large screen and sound system. It is a perfect place for teachers and students not only to communicate and meet friends, but also to host group dinners, gatherings and other activities.
