This project aims at the common frontier problems, advanced algorithms and software packages of computational mechanics in the design, manufacturing and service of major civil and defense equipments. The main research contents include: (1) theories and numerical analysis of multi-material responses subject to high dynamic loads, material constitutive models under high strain rate, (2) nonlinear multi-scale constitutive model of thermal-structure coupling and high-performance algorithms, (3) structural and multidisciplinary optimization and engineering inverse problems considering uncertainty propagation and multi-field coupling, (4) development of new-generation integrated software platform of computational mechanics, (5) application of multi-field coupling analysis and non-deterministic optimization in metal forming and crashworthiness design of automobile structures, (6) destroy and damage simulation of special-purposed equipment under severe condition and impact loading, defense analysis of target structures. The project will provide essential modeling theories and numerical methods for novel design of civil and national defense high-tech equipments, and realize self-owned copyright new-generation large scale platform for computational mechanics and multi-field analysis.
